Anonymous Missionary (Family)

Location: Southeast Asia
Responsibilities: In Southeast Asia, a family from our church serves with the International Mission Board in a staunchly Buddhist country using sports as a universal language to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Sports are an avenue to partner with local organizations and schools to become engaged in the community. Establishing relationships are paramount in opening a dialogue about faith and culture in Southeast Asia countries that are over 90 percent Buddhist. This missionary family depends solely on the Lottie Moon offering for their family's needs. Our additional ministry funds for specific projects ensure that they can continue their work in this difficult "closed" country. Brentwood Baptist Church has sent over two dozen volunteers to assist this family in their work. In Fall of 2009, a small BBC team held a baseball clinic in this country.
