Started by Brentwood Baptist member Jen Gash, Sweet Sleep provides beds and vocational training opportunities for orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected children in Moldova-the poorest country in Europe. Brentwood Baptist has sent over 50 members to serve in Moldova in the last two years on construction and summer Bible school teams. Twenty-five children accepted Christ through our summer camp efforts this past summer. BBC member Tim Bedi just returned from an eight-month assignment in Moldova. Members Jen Gash and Miller Hancock serve with Sweet Sleep full time. Sweet Sleep has completed the construction of beds for the largest orphanage in Moldova and is now working on the placement of hundreds of beds for an orphanage in the northern region of Moldova that has 308 children. Sixty new beds, complete with bedding, have already been provided at this second orphanage.
